Do I simply put on goggles and loosen the nut on the condenser outlet? And when recharging how do I know when preasure is correct? Is there a guage I can put on the low side fitting? Hogsubie Posted September 28, 2005 Share Posted September 28, 2005 Well, you could do that...but that is environmentally irresponsible. It's actually is illegal in most places. I would suggest taking it to a shop, they hook up recovery equipment to suck it all out. Shouldn't cost very much just to have it dishcarged. I worked in the HVAC business for a while...atleast commercially there are very large fines for dishcarging freon in to the atmosphere (air).
