Hello Everyone,

My name is Maryann and was very lucky to come into a 84 subie GL-10 sedan about 6 months ago for $700.00 it has 143,000 miles on it, I only had to replace the water pump...so far the car is running Great..!! except for the fact that the power windows just stopped working last week :-\ ...and the A/C needs a recharge, (still on R12 so might be a bit of a challenge).....I am really looking forward to doing some of simple repairs on my own...(love these older cars).. and I just got my Chiltons repair manual yesterday from E-bay..!!!!:)

I was just wondring if anyone had any idea's on what might be causing the window problem, they were working fine two weeks ago, then stopped (all 4), when I tried them a few days later they worked very slugish, now not working at all....I check the circut breakers under pass. seat but they look fine, maybe bad master lock switch..??? Any help would be greatly appreciated..;)

My guess would be the master switch...check for power going in and power comming out!!! Welcome to the board:)

None of my old Subies had power windows :-\

However, I agree with Bobby, I'd look for power.

You may have some corroded connectors along the line somewhere?

If you can trace the power you'll find the problem.
