Guest alpha0001
So today I spotted at the local wrecking yard a 92 legacy wagon 4wd. The engine was shot, but my question for anyone out there, is: Can I take the ring and pinion gears from the 4.110 differential in the rear, and in the tranny, and use them in my 3.9 setup that I have now?? the current tranny I have is an EA82 5sp d/r, and an EA81 rear differential. Thanks, Mike
Guest alpha0001
Just keepin the thread alive, anyone have even a hunch as to if they are the same diameter and bolt setup? -Mike
Guest SOOBME
I don't know 1st hand, but I have read other threds on this and the general consensis is that the gears will not fit, front or rear. U can use the entire rear dif ( housing and all) but then U are mis mached front to rear for GR.
Adam N.D.J.
The front diff is integral to the tranny and wouldn't swap out with A LOT of work, I mean machining, fabricating, and a whole host of stuff that would make it much more plausable to just put the EJ motor and stuffs into your car.
