moosens
That's Todd,a.k.a. Subaru3,whose got the bid on it.He'll tell us all about it.
SUBARU3
I'll let you know. The pic in the auction is only a representation. Not the actual caliper. They said it's JUST the caliper, (unloaded). I have dealt with auctionfrontier before and was pleased. Todd
SUBARU3
Well the caliper is exactly the same as the gen 1 cars! So we now have a new cross-reference! Todd
Ever Victorious
Well the caliper is exactly the same as the gen 1 cars! So we now have a new cross-reference! Todd That's a very obscure cross-reference, too... have you taken the caliper to a part store and compared it to one that is known to be for that acura? I get this sneaking suspicion that the acura part was a misprint...
kevinsUBARU
Something doesn't quite add up here. I find it hard to believe that Honda, one of the most technically advanced automobile companies, was still using 1978 technology on a 1997 car that was $22k for the base model? Although the calipers for a 1997 CL look damn close to the one in the picture, there must be slight differences. It would be cool if it was true though...kind of like how you can get Subaru 4-pots and brake pads from the Nissan dealer:)
GLCraig
Maybe Honda/Acura are using that caliper for the rear brakes on a CL.
Flowmastered87GL
So... I wonder if that means that performance brakes for an acura can be adapted to a gen 1???
SUBARU3
I guess we have to research this!
justyj12
Hi, Todd (You are bidding on 1 (Front Left) acura Brake Caliper as we do not have a second in stock) The acura is using rear hand brake and Subaru is using front hand brake. So how about the hand brake mechanism even thought the brake body look like the same? Regards Chu
