hi all.

currently Subie-less- but looking to make a switch soon.

wondered if Sube would have a hybrid and thought of a name to call it. Could you imagine- a "Cyberu"?

regards

stu

They may have one in the states around 2007 or so. They are showing one in Japan.

I think they should bring the R1 or R2 over here and market it as the 'Fuji' ! (ya know - as in Fuji Heavy Industries)

Yea. I hear that they are developing a new type of Hybred car. The batteries are said to be 40% lighter and last 50% longer between recharges as those used by others. They are also doing something with the a turbo / electric engine that really extends travel distances speeds, and fuel usage. Can't wait.

I wonder if the Turbo Parallel Hybrid system was rendered redundant by the sale of GM's stake to Toyota. It would make sense for Fuji to borrow Toyota's electric motor and computer logic, and lend their batteries to Toyota. So, maybe we'll see a hybrid Fuji/Toyota hybrid Subaru in 2007 or so.

the R1 seems a bit small for the US market... the most popular hybrids here have 4 doors (prius and civic hybrid, and now those SUV hybrids). i think they should do like an impreza hybrid...
