NV Zeno
Uh, yeah..what Tim said. Although wasn't that a GL-10 that got stuck in the mud:lol:? Was very impressed with Ross' stock height 3-door on the trails and mud, tho. (Just pokin' a little fun, Tim)
TheSubaruJunkie
Yeah, i got proven wrong over the weekend in Oregon. Tony has a GL10 with 27" mudders and a 2" rear lift. He welded his diff and went everywhere me and Adam went, and alot faster too might I add. -Brian
subieman
Don't worry NV Zeno I did not forget about you. Now there are a few more of us in the area I think it's time for a mini meet. Oh and Brian my first subaru was a GL-10 turbo auto. I did some crazy mountain climbing with it. But yes one of us needs to lift our soobs. TheSubaruJunkie
Im in sacramento, aprox 2 hours from there (depends on which Subaru I take). Would love to have a meet in Reno, or better yet... some trails in Tahoe. Jeremy knows of some nice places up near Truckee to have a small get together. Dave, when are you moving to Nevada? -Brian
Scrub2k
yea im up for a meet, plus i get all the free parts i want from a local junkyard here so if anyone locally around here needs some parts i can normally get them pretty easily (well most of the time) And Once i get the 4wd working on my car i'd love to go wheelin and see what this car can do, as long as im not from the wrong side of the railroad tracks since i own a jeep too -Matt-
TheSubaruJunkie
Which yard? Are there many subaru's? There's a junk yard in Carson City that has all the parts i need. Ive been thinking of going up there, but i have to sell a computer 1st before I can afford the parts. -Brian
Scrub2k
From American Auto Wrecking In Reno, My Fiancees Mom Works there and i get all the parts i need, they have a few subarus 87 Gl Wagon, 85 GL Wagon, 87 GL-10 Turbo Sedan, 84-86(?i havent looked at it) DL Wagon, and i think there are a few older ones buried in the upper yard i can take a look this weekend. -Matt-
subieman
American Auto Wrecking is one yard I'v never checked out. I've been to D&D, D&S, airport wrecking and PnP. Oh and on your air shocks just replace them with standard spring struts. Thats what I had to do with my old 87 GL-10. Ok we are gonna have to plan a meet before the snow flys. See ya. TheSubaruJunkie
Carson City is a HEAVEN for older sube's. There has to be at least 40 of them there. I wont have any free time for a couple weeks. And we need to find a day where our schedules all match. I have Tuesdays and Wednesdays off... but I can specify to get a day off if i give enough notice at work. -Brian
