EYE_WHY
Would a 185/70/13 tire fit on a stock 13" subaru wheel? Thanks
myfinalcoffinx
Absolutely! Thats the original size tire that the early 80's came with. Also, Tirerack has a rebate going right now with for dunop tires, so you might want to look into that. Would a 185/70/13 tire fit on a stock 13" subaru wheel? soobmater
yup, thats what came on mine when i bought it. fits like a charm. if you look at the drivers side door pillar, the little medal tab will tell you what size tires it came with. EYE_WHY
Really? I'm running 175/60's on there now (I didn't pick them out) and my manual says that 175/60/13s are the stock tires. I really want to get some bigger-ish tires, the ones are there now are bald and small.
cmiller
Definatly will fit, that's what I ran on mine before the pugs.
NoahDL88
depending on if your model is 2 or 4wd, or GL or DL it will call for different sized tires. i believe the STD's called for something as small as 155's and the DL's called for 165's on the EA-81's and on the EA-82's called for 175's on the DL's and 185's on the GL 4WD. BTW, if you can fit the tire without fender trimming, thats Pleadies' way of telling you your tires are too small
dave valiant
I had 185/80/13s on my Brat. I think that is the tallest 13 you can buy.
Ever Victorious
There are two wheel widths. STD and DL models got the 4.5", which will take 155's (165's were called for on 4WD DL's). GL and GL-10 models got the 5", which were 175's (2WD) or 185's (4WD).

bella
Hey guys....stupid question....what about the axle live??? Will be the same???you thing there will be no problem after 30-50000 miles?? Is just a question.
soobmater
not a stupid question, do a search, there is bound to be somting about it. just put in a divorced t-case. a big lift makes this very nice. i think the minimum is about a 6inch lift. then, with the gears for the transfer case, you can run solid axles. eye_why, is your car 2wd? because mine says i think 175/70/13 in the manual. but you could defiantley fit 185/70/13's. i ran 185/70/14 (1inch bigger) for a while and absolutly no rubbing. you'll be fine.
