SUBARU3
Both my 95 Imprezas seem to be starting to leak from the steering rack. (Not bad, but noticeable). How long can I go before this get's too bad? Can these be resealed on the car? Resealed off the car? 83K Thanks! Todd
Setright
Keep the reservoir topped up. If you are only losing a small amount, don't worry about it. The steering will not suddenly stop working, but you might lose the assistance, which will make low speed manouvres harder.

nipper
You can by a rebuilt rack. In warm weather a leaking rack is not an issue. In winter they can be real bear to drive until the rack warms up, if the internal seals are shot along with the outer ones. i dont know how long you can keep adding fluid to it. Depends at what point it starts leaking on the exhaust and smokes you out of the car. nipper
Andyjo
mine leaks right out of the threaded joints above the rack.. just dump some more fluid in and go... i've never seen the actual rack leak before...
123c
The rack was leaking on my Legacy, and there were some loose bolts, so I tightened those down, and the leak stopped...
SUBARU3
I'm going to check all the connections. Obviously, time wears on these more than mileage. One Impreza has 63k, the other 83k. Both 95's
