archemitis
it looks great from the top. no rust where they usualy rust, looks reely solid. pop the hood, and you can see the tires through the strut tower. the rear diff hanger/mustache bar, pulled out of the body! leaving the diff hanging. then i was doin some urban offroading and the rear controll arm cracked/bent twisted, untill my wheel was sitting like this / very scary. i welded the controll arm, and used some ratchet straps to hold the diff where its supposed to be. i just dont get it. i have another one thats rusted on top, but solid as hell underneath. since that controll arm broke, i started thinking, ea81s might be alot more succeptable to bad rust associated problems than ea82s. any thoughts? cmiller
I had a '87 EA 82 that the body was held together by what paint was left, soo much rust, everytime you closed a door flakes and chips would fall off. The cargo wells in the back were totally rusted out, you could see the road through it! But the drive train and frame was solid as a rock! Ran great! go figure... MilesFox
typical of rust i see. looks good outside and the underneath is falling apart. or you get a lot of surface rust and the framerails are SOLID just loke this loyale i got, looks worse than trashwagon but more solid than the sedan. i bought it to turn it around for profit but it drives much better than my other soobs. i think i'll keep it. my plans for it is to make a u-haul out of it
