BlindSight
So figured it was time I tested out my 4wd for the first time so I start my wagon, shift it into 4wd high and head for the paintball field, had a great time, everything worked awesome, go to taco bell, stop, and try to shift back into FWD, wont budge, my wheels are straight and everything seems like it should work.....but have tried for about an hour now and cant seem to get it back into FWD. CAN ANYONE HELP ME????????? SUGGESTIONS???
Bobby_boucher
have you tried slowly rolling forward and gently pushing it down? or slowly backward and doing the same?
calebz
1 - don't use 4wd on dry pavement 2 - put it in reverse and back up until drivetrain load is lessened
75subie
do the above, if it doesn`t go out easilly, come down like a pile of bricks on it.my subes always do that when in 4wd on dry pavement.
zyewdall
Jack up one wheel -- should free up any tensions in the drivetrain and it will go right into 2wd unless there's something binding up in the actual levers.
northguy
Or drive onto the lawn or some gravel and then shift out. (Don't feel bad, I did the same thing the first time I shifted into 4wd).

MorganM
Next time remember to shift out while you are still on a slippery surface

Caboobaroo
even if you do end up using it on dry pavement again, make sure to drive about 200 feet in a straight line and it'll pop out like it did when you popped it into 4wd.
