vodoobrat
Anybody ever tried to rebuild a 3 spd 4X4 Auto tranny before. My brat has been out of commintion for about 4 months now and I need to figure out what I am going to do with her. Let me know if anyone has ever tried to do this and was it difficult. Thanks Vic

Turbone
I agree. I wouldnt waste the money on a kit, just go find another tranny. Even a 4spd D/R is better than the AT
vodoobrat
I have a 5 spd hi/lo 4x4 tranny, but not sure if it will fit in my Brat. Also, not sure about how much extra work would go into converting my AT to a 5 spd. Any information on this type of conversion

FirstSubaruGLwagon
Years ago,,, someone said something on one of these sites, about putting a check valve on the return tranny coolent line. and that would make sure the TC would not get low on fluid. anyway, I can'r find any info on it now:-\

Turbone
The pedal box can be a PIA, you have to be patient for that one. Its easier if you drop the steering colom. Balancing the driveshaft isnt usually necessary. The whole job is pretty labor intensive tho.
