stinky
on my 4" ea81 wagon The bashplate itself is a piece of thick ally plate. The front bolts to the same place as the stock bash plate with the help of a piece of hollow square and a length of flat on the top. It bends under the sump and exhaust: Again it uses a piece of hollow square steel to bolt to the stock bashplate location seen on the far left of the next pic, and then bolts up to the crossmember after the Y pipe. The plate is actually covering the exhaust here, the photo just makes it look like it's not.

WoodsWagon
Might want to run some lateral braces down the plate. Maabe between the side of the sump and the pipes? If that gets hit, it will bend and pull the front mounts at an angle, ripping them out of the body. Just a suggestion. Looks nice though.
soobme
Looks good! Did U bend that your'e self? If so what did U use to bend it?
soobmater
nice, i like that it protects the y-pipe. good work!
Snowman
Very nice indeed! The only comment I'd have is that it looks like it might get hung up while reversing. You might want to bevel the edges or bend it up a tad in the rear. Just a thought.
cmiller
Looks sweet! Man I need one of those for my rig!
MorganM
I would sheer off those front bolts first time on the rocks. Not a fan of the square stock used to drop it down; something to get hung up on. Nice job on the plate itself. The fact you did it yourself is good.
