Nickshu
Hello, New to this board, but not to automotive BBS's....been into Saabs for a long time, but always liked Subarus and may get one as my next car. Im thinking about a H6-3.0 (Outback). Is there any hope of this car being offered in the USA as a 5-speed, or better yet a 6-speed? Neither my wife nor I like automatics. Does Japan have it in a manual trans? Thanks!!! :bday:
calebz
Glad to see another saabthusiast on the board.. my past 10 or so cars before I got my first soob were 900t's and a couple of 9000t's In answer to your question, if you want something on a new soob and it doesn't come that way here, chances are the rest of the world gets it(IE D/R trannies in bajas and outbacks)

Flo4Legacy
Yes that's right. It looks like the new 3.0 won't get a manual. The chances are at least ... low. By the way, the new sport shift automatic is said to be really improved. My brother drove a 2.0 with this new type and he was happy with it. Especially the manual mode seems to be good - you can shift similar to a "normal" manual gearbox. There is no "lag" when the lever is pushed. And it also will not shift by itself - although if you are at the redline! My brother told me it's like normal shifting - only without a clutch.
