JWX Posted October 31, 2005 Share Posted October 31, 2005 on my 86 RX, it flashes the check engine light. pull the codes and geta code 12, check FSM, doesn't list one. WJM says see if the connectors are still plugged in, check them and they aren't. it doesn't run bad, but it doesn't really seem to run right either. has an accel coil, 8mm sparkplug wires. anybody have any ideas? Code 12 is "Starter switch in OFF mode" See pic for troubleshooting flow chart: NOTE connector-1 is the red one next to the diagnostic "green connecter under the dash.
