gsp4
Idle question ? I recently bought 2004 Outback ltd. 2.5L, 4Cyl, Auto. Very happy so far, but noticed that, when at a red light, foot on the Brake, ideal dips below 750rpm (A/C is off). As soon as I remove my foot from the brake or put car into Neutral, Idle goes back to 750. Is this normal ? Thanks, gsp4
oregonloyale
sounds like a vacumn leak or vacumn related issue. Get out the can o starting fluid and start sprayin when the engine is running. If the idle dips or surges whelie your hosing vac lines. Bingo, replace it. Thats where Id start anyways.

Setright
Sounds normal to me, all the autos that I have driven have been like that. Even the Germans.
