Numbchux
let's do what we can, even though the options are rather limited http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/9900937/
northguy
I weighed in, but it apparently is on the wrong side of the majority view. Go figure.
NoahDL88
I'm supprized, i was on the minority too. I definately feel that there should be ORV specific trails, because if we have our own trails we won't need to go and find other trails and trespass. soobme
There poll ansers are VERY missleading. When they say "regulated trails" that should read "you guys will have 3 or 4 trails left in the country on public lands that you can drive/ride on leagly";)

zyewdall
Great options: Basically 1) Ban offroading 2) Let's destroy whatever we want offroading, thus reinforcing 1) What happened to responsible offroading on existing public trails, but not at random through the wetlands just to tear them up (what alot of the jeeps and most the ATV'er do around here), and not through posted private property? iluvdrt
I thihnk the poll is refering to say like open all the trails that have already been closed. Not make our own, and destroy everything.
FlyB0y
WOOT!!! Looks like enough 'wheelers have responded to the poll to make it 75% to our favor ... and I agree, there isn't really a perfect option, but as long as the Forest Circus "closes" old roads with kelly humps followed by ditches, few large 4x4's will travel them as much as smaller ones like jeeps and subie's will ... I am looking forward to all the exsisting roads and trails that the FC closed being required to be open again by court order!
Phizinza
I can't vote. I don't agree with either of them. I think you should only be aloud to drive on tracks that are made for offroading. And I don't think these types of vehicles are a major source of environmental damage. So, I can not vote.
FirstSubaruGLwagon
I sent this letter to MSNBC. Dear Sir or Miss Your online poll, - http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/9900937/ - is very partisan. Or it reflects a very lax attitude on the research of the subject. In the poll, you only provide basically two viewpoints or options. 1, No allowance of ATV’s in National Forests no allowance at all. 2, Total allowance of ATV’s in National Forests. Limiting on line poller to this "Narrow" option displays possibly a "hidden agenda" on the part of the poll-provider or very "limited research" in the matter. A more balanced and informed view would be shown by the inclusion of a third option. 3 Should all-terrain vehicles and motorized bikes be allowed limited access to national parks and forests, on specified and controlled "off-road" trails? The inclusion of this third option would display a more "Informed" view. Which I would conclude that a source of news such as MSNBC should be! Thank You, David, P. FirstSubaruGLwagon
Is it my imagination or,, did MSNBC just change the wording on the poll? "Do you agree with the regulation to restrict off-road vehicles to certain parts of national forests?"
