stavan
I bought a 1990 Subaru LS wagon, which is a wonderful car. Now I noticed that the back-up lights don’t work. The fuse is probably OK because turn signal is working (uses the same fuse according to the manual), and the bulbs are fine. I wonder what could be the reason. Any suggestion appreciated. thanks
lmdew
Auto or Manual Transmission? You are not getting a ground for the circuit, which is through the trans sw.

Yup, what Imdew said. It's the reverse indicator switch on the transmission.
stavan
It is standard (manual) transmission. Can I reach that switch from the engine compartment or I have to lift up the car and try to reach it from underneath? thanks
