Guest Biffbradford
A set of snow tires will work wll in the dirt/gravel/snow. While I never did an official rally cross, I have done some bombing around in new subdivisions before the streets have been paved, and snow tires give pretty decent grip. I once had a stretch of gravel going around a block pretty ripped up with my 16V VW GTi on Hakkapllitta's before some guy in a Corvette came by and chased me off. Not that he could catch me on the gravel ! True gravel tires have thicker side walls to pervent punctures. Do a lap for me ! Flowmastered87GL
Try to find some hakkipalitas (ok I butchered the spelling) but they rock. They are snow tires, so you can run studs with em
edrach
I have a set of mounted Hakki's on wagon wheels. I used them last year until I got the silverstones. I'd consider selling them. Let me think about a price (or drop me an email or private message if you're really interested). They are quite good and very competitive. Just make sure you're allowed to use them in the class you plan to run in. I can bring them down to the rallycross on the 24th if you're not local to the Seattle area.
