blownbimer
KBD and I are building my motor for my wagon. I know where I can get a spyder for a NA car,and legand has it, that I can just tap a coolant passage in the intake, and it will work on my turbo car...is this true? anyone actually done this? blownbimer
Now, Im reading the wiring is going to be funky on my 86 vs the 87.5 cars and I'll have to get the intake machined to put the coolant passage on it..true?
mattyg41383
Subscribe... My brother just got his hands on an N/A '89 XT with the spider, and he's going to put it in his '93 loyale wagon with the '86 turbo motor. ( thats a lot of years, try to keep up)
Caboobaroo
this should be true since I have a turbo spyder torn apart in my garage and it looks relativly the same. Water passage has the inlet for the turbo whereas from what I saw, the NA doesn't have, go figure. Other then that, they looked the same... subaru_styles
there is a hardline that is right under the t-stat housing. it curves around toward teh turbo then there is a short peice of rubber line between that and the turbo hard line

Not entirely sure, but the spider I have appears to be plug and play on my 87 wagon. Same main harness plugs and everything.
