scruffycyclist
Okay, so I've read a lot about putting winter tires on an inexpensive set of steel rims, but around where I live (San Fran bay area) all the shops seem to have are spinning chrome and gold 24 inch rims for H2's and Escalades. Where to buy inexpensive steel rims?
SakoTGrimes
Right here on the board! There's marketplace threadS and plenty of rad people here. Junkyards are good too. Welcome to the Board, what model do you have?
idosubaru
you can check out tirerack.com as well, they sell complete sets of snow tires on steel wheels delivered to your door. super cheap too compared to most shops.
Urban Coyote
You can also try the local WalMart. They sell rims at good prices up here in Canada...don't know about the US though. Urban Coyote

hatchsub
I have a set of four 13 inch steel wheels off an 83 GL. Three out of the four are in nice shape for their age and the last one has some rust. All are straight with no dings. If this sounds interesting you can PM me and we can work out the price. Shipping might suck though. :-\ Oh just realized i was in the new subaru forum. Sorry bout that. These will probably not work for you unless u posted in the wrong forum too
outback_97
are you after 15" or 16" i can keep my eyes open Jamie Jamie: Wouldn't he need at least a 16" to fit over the brakes of an '05, not counting specialized rally wheels? Just curious. Steve
JohnVT
also could try a dealer. local dealer here claimed (this was 5-6 years ago) that cars are shipped with steel wheels, but sold with alloys, so he had a good deal on steel rims, as well as a deal with snow tires already mounted... mattocs
I'd check in a couple of junk yards for a good deal on rims.

Steve 2005 What? what car does he have? if it's a non WRX? Non Legacy GT? then 15's should fit just fine. Jamie

Jamie: Based on the post directly before yours, I'd guess he has an 05 OBW XT Again, I was assuming that 15" steelies will not fit on that car (it comes with 17" alloys stock, no?), but I don't know and figured you would.
