PeterD
well its me again, yes im bored. you may have read that i purchaced a weber dgav carb and have plans to install it some time in the future. but since that purchace i have had a hand full of other ideas. One is to do a SPFI conversion. yes it involves alot, i just found a pdf that was floating around on an archived post about the conversion. it dosn't seem too hard, and myself im a big big fuel injection fan. and if i could i would install a bosh CIS system into the subaru but i feel spfi is alot more strait forward. and the parts are made for subarus. I'll be searching for the parts at the local pull and save and plan to do the work in the spring and early summer, about the time i will have my scirocco back on the road for the summer months. this will alow me to take my time and do a good job. and to trouble shoot the system before bringing it back in the winter. PeterD's future plans EA82 duel range 5sp tranny SPFI possibly CD player... it sucks not having tunes Bigger exhast so am i nuts? there seems to be plenty of posts on spfi, and the idea of it sounds good to me. wish me luck... this is probably one of the bigger auto projects i have atempted, first fuel injection swap into an older carbed car. ... if i acualy have the guts to atempt it i'll keep you all updated on the process.. but not yet... not yet. 75subie
it might be a better idea just to leave the ea81 in there, do the 5sp d/r swap, use the weber, or do a ea81 spfi swap, and a bigger exhaust. to me, ea81`s seem to be more reliable than ea82`s. maybe add a couple high performance stickers and a loud cd player to boost the hp's a bit:lol: just my $0.02 Jon

IMO its one of the best 4cl of its day. and still a great engine. i plan to use the ea81 as long as the spfi distributor and intake manifolds will fit the ea81... i have a feeling they will. if im wrong please let me know.
