OK, I've posted on this problem the other day thinking they might be reverse threads. But got a reply saying they are Lefty= loosey.

 

Passenger side Camshaft sprocket bolts:

I made a tool out of a 2 3/8" socket and 2' angle iron, that didn't work.Just stripped the sprocket.

 

So I pulled the valve cover and got a 1" crowfoot on the Hex part of the Cam and locked it against the frame. Using a 18" 1/2" drive breaker bar and tried to break the torque.... Nothing!! :banghead:

 

Next I put the air rachet pushing 120 psi to it. Nothing!!!! :banghead:

 

All have done is chip the paint and primer off the frame where the rachet was locked.

 

Any Ideas or suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!!!!

I'd rather not since the sprockets are plastic/ carbon or whatever

Plastic/carbon? or do you mean nylon?

 

OK get some nut buster/liquid wrench and soak it really good and for a few hours. Then repeat and repeat. Hopefully its just frozen and not cross threaded.

You said you used a air rachet, get you a real impact tool and use it, the one Wal Mart sells for around 78.00 dollars with the 1/2 in. drive should do it. You could probably rent one like it somewhere.
