subie94
you sure it's not a rocker? i've been told that they sometimes loosen up.depending on what side,i think there pretty easy to replace.
sea#3
They are not hydraulic. They are adjustable rockers on a 97 SEA#

subie94
find out what side the noise is coming from, pull the valve cover off and check to see if anything's loose.you need to manually crank the engine over so as to run the valves through full cycle.check every 1/4 turn or so. you'll need a feeler guage too.checking the clearence between rocker and valve.not sure of what the clearence numbers are though. They are not hydraulic. They are adjustable rockers on a 97 SEA#3 just the lifters are, right??
Andyjo
i'm guessing it would cost me a large chunk of $$ if i were to goto a shop and get it done... aye?

subie94
Yes, tic-tic-tic-tic-tic-tic-tic-tic-tic-tic-tic-tic-tic-tic-tic-tic-tic-tic-tic then if it is ticking then i'd see if you can find the bad lifter yourself.unless you wanna pay money to someone to pull off your valve covers.
