Mastersubie
Yes...It`s true... On Thursday of last week,The wifes GL10 wannabe was hit in the right front by a Jaguar doing more than 40 mph. I was taking my son to school and as I was pulling into the school(right turn) the car behind me was turning left . The Jag did`nt want to wait for the left turning car and thought he could whip around it in the gutter. He did`nt know(or care) that I was in front turning right. By the time I saw him it was too late. Contact began mid-way through the pass door and took out the door, fender, right knuckle,rack-n-pinion,alloy wheell, lowercontrol arm,and strut...... My wife and son were not hurt badly.Wife has some pain in her back.Doctors say it`s pulled ligaments from tensing up and my son is terrified to get into another car (he`s 8) $2500.00 damage to the car...$1400.00 total value. His insurance will let me keep the car and pay-out the $1400.00 but I`ll need to do the salvage title thing. I`ve got all of the mechanical parts and a door but I`ll need a fender and maybe an "H" mag to mack it all correct.(see post in marketplace) Thank the Lord and Mr. Fugi we survived as we did...5 seconds later and it would have been a direct "T"-bone. Thanks,Ed...... P.S......I`ll try to get some pics posted soon......

calebz
40mph in a school zone?.. string his rump roast up from the nearest light pole. Did the cops nail him for reckless endangerment or anything like that?

electryc_monk
40 in a school zone? around the schools here that would be double the posted speedlimit as our schools like the 20MPH signs. yes see about counceling for the child and I'd be asking the police about the recless endangerment in a school zone for sure! Mastersubie
Yup...He admitted to 35 in that zone but as his car went airborn as it passed over the sidewalk(where there are usually 1st and 2nd graders walking to school),that seemed low. After speaking with the officer,we came to the conclusion that 40 was more like it. He was cited for : 1). An illegal pass on the right side in a parking lane.... 2)reckless(wreckless?) driving on a public road... 3) speeding beyond the posted limit... 4) failure to present proof of insurance apon request.....(did not have it with him) 5)Failure to control vehicle...(driving on the sidewalk)...(I love living in a small town...They can pretty much make up their own rules) What else he should have been cited for(wishlist)... 1) Being a dumba$$ 2) Having no regard for anyone but himself.... 3) allowing me 5 minutes alone in a room with him for what he put us through..... The best thing is....The Subie got the least damage....His "Vande Plas" is`nt drivable either...from what I understand over $3200.00 damage AND his insurance has cancelled him!!! Thanks for the support... Ed.....
GeneralDisorder
Sweet - another Jag bites the dust. Always hated those leaky peices of dook. If I were you, I would find him, and beat him sensless - sounds like maybe he's got enough money not to care about the fines, but I'll bet he wouldn't forget a busted nose real easily. Give him a choice - get the holy crap beat out of him, or you sue and take everything he owns - wrecked jag included. Would be interesting to see if he's a real man or not without his fancy wheels. Meeky Moose
doh, sorry about your soob, glad to hear that ******* lots his insurance, and fudged his jag all to hell, he deserved it... wrecked my truck today romped on teh brakes, locked all 4 up for a damn dog, and a 24 year old truck doesn't slide straight, it spun sideays, and to keep from flippin it i let off, jumped off an enbankment into some guys yard, took out a couple trees, alot of bushes and grass.. and lived.. broke the mirror all to hell since it took the main blow from one of the trees. scrathed the hell outa the side, got a piece of tree still stuck in the windshield molding, and flat spots on all 4 tires after drivin through the guys yard to get back on the road, i got out looked, breathed a sigh of relief it wasn't mangled.. caught the fudgin dog that ran out in front of me.. ( it had tags) but seems liek someone just dumped it out in the woods, very friendly dog tho.. so took it home called sherriffs office, they had animal control come out.. the guy told me to call the shelter in a few days and see if anyone claims the poor beast.. when i do find out who, they're rump roast is goin to court, and i'm gonna get a nice new chrome mirror, and 4 brand new tires.. (these only had 8k on them) i thought to myself i shoudla just hit the fu$%ing dog, but i'da had a hard time livin with that.. never hit anything but a groundhog before.. ahh well, yeah i would sue him, make him pay for wifes therapy, and sons counseling.. Capman2k
It'd be nice if you could just beat the crap out of him... But let's not take the above advice and break his nose, cuz then you'll get in trouble too, and that would just suck :bday:
calebz
and flat spots on all 4 tires Hey .. uhh . just in case no one told you, those things are supposed to be round . Glad you are all ok.. Meeky. Good show on not hitting the dog.. If he isn't claimed at the shelter, take him home
bratsrus1
Hi Ed This is Jerry, contact a lawyer on this one the jerk should not have been going 40 through a school zone. The only he is going to get the message is to hit him in the pocket book. If you don't he is going to do that stunt over again and next time he might not be lucky and kill somebody. Also don't close your medical part of the claim until a year has gone by. I was hit from behind in May and i still go to the chiropractor every month. Thanks Jerry
