Lawsonmh15
Is there any way to do this without losing alot of coolant? Just did a flush and don't want to have to do another one for a $12 part.

1 Lucky Texan
not that i can think of. Perhaps a new, clean container to catch the coolant in? Just poor it back in.
idosubaru
good point, if you're just trying to save the coolant....capture it. i believe there's usually a radiator drain cock...sorry, that's really what it's called! anyway, turn the valve and the little hose drains coolant...tyipcally slow, but drains coolant. remove a cap for it to come out faster. if you're trying to get around burping the system of air....nothing i can think of. Legacy777
Just to note, I put fresh coolant in when I finished my motor, and drained it after like 10 miles of driving.....there were particles in the coolant.....coolant's cheap, just put new stuff back in. But if you don't want to, yeah collect it in a clean container and dump it back in.
Lawsonmh15
Do I need to "burp" if I catch and re-use? If so, How do I do that?
beezer
Probably be a good idea. Do a search, I think it was Setright that did a detailed write up on how to do this.
