A DOG
Well XT6s' don't have turbos. XTs' have turbos. Both of the cars handle really well. I have an XT6 and it is awesome in the snow and on gravel or tarmac. Yes you can get lifts for them. An EA82 lift would do the trick. I haven't heard anything bad about the turbos. operose
while the xt6 is my favorite subaru, I don't think this belongs in the historic forumm...
NoahDL88
Punctuation. It can be your friend. It makes questions easier to answer. the XT6 is a sports coupe, so while its an EA-82 body, and there are lift kits for it, it still won't have as good approach and departure angles as the sedan or wagon. It has springs all around, and if it is a 6, it won't be turbo, only the XT-turbo's came with a.... wait for it..... a turbo. I believe these came with only AWD, and a center locking diff, while this is better than an open diff, the lack of a low range will make running bigger tires an issue. In the snow you'll be fine, but remember, AWD does not help you stop any faster.
archemitis
the xt6 is the shizzle. its my favorite motor, nice and reliable. not as many timing belt problems as the ea82s. its horsepower makes up for low range. its great on and offroad, especialy with the center locking diff, which makes it 4x4 when the button is pushed. bulwnkl
If it's 4WD and an XT6, then it came from the factory with air suspension. It's a really great system but is now showing its age and many have been switched over to coil springs. Replacement parts are expensive for the air suspension. There are both 2wd and 4wd ones, and the 4wd rides higher (better for off-road). I like my '6 a lot, though it's giving me serious (electrical??) troubles right now.
