First Stereo Install HELP!

Recommended Posts

Well I searched around for awhile but couldn't find exactly what I'm looking for, so here it goes.

I have a 93' Subaru Loyale SW 5 Spd. 4WD. The Speakers in it are all blown, so I am replacing them and the headunit. So what I need to know is all of what I will need to do this. Here is what I am installing http://www.epinions.com/Alpine_CDE_7853_628006

and 4

For the headunit I don't have any wires or anything like that I just have the main unit and faceplate.

Is that a problem?

Where are all the speakers in a 93' Loyale? I only found 2 that are in the front doors? Are there more?

After taking out the stock stereo I looked at all the wires and stuff and the plug is too big for the one on my new stereo? What do I do? Is there like an adaptor or something I can buy?

Oh, and I am aware that I will need one of these

but what else will I need? besides some electrical tape and basic tools?

Thanks!

Any local shop will have the adapter plugs(s) that you need to direct fit all the wires. they are around $10-15. I don't know if you need an adapter for the actuall deck install though.. Crutchfield will be able to tell you which speakers you need.. The new gen forum can tell you most of that and where the speaker are and how to get at them. If you have already picked out which deck and speakers you are going to get try one of these places if you wanna keep it lighter on the pocket book.. they have never done me or anyone I know wrong ever.
