MSSLGECKO
I'm shocked and amazed. Gotta ask what transmission you are running and if it is stock, is it holding together? Also, how is the engine holding up? How many miles have you put on it with this setup? What did you do to your suspension to make it hold together? *enough questions for now* Thanks for sharing, this car sounds pretty darn sweet! Mykeys Toy
Very cool.. Not many people have accomplished that much with an ea81 without dropping a large chunk of change. Keep it up and bring on pics and vids. umm more vids.

chasrace
im just going to give a little more info, because our cars are closely inspected we can not do many noticable mods. the whole car weight is 1100 lbs.with driver. complete chromoly 12 pt cage. im running a stock trans but an old 1 spd transfercase so it is light. this is not bull shi$$ horse power i had it on a chassis dyno. those readings are at the wheels. i have raced for over 20 years & i like this racing because you have to be sneaky. there are about 20 different subuarus that race aginst me & they are trying to figure me out. right now im working on getting it ready to race the pro tour this summer. i have out driven guys with 700 hp & over $40,000.00 in there trucks. needless to say they get pissed. i built the motor, my buddy has a machine shop & followed my instructions on the machine work. i have raced this motor in about 300 races & it it very dependable. because im dumping so much fuel into it that helps keep it cool. i run no radiator, just coolant in the block. i think i have the timing at 55 degrees. i race a lot all over the east coast hope some of you guys stop & say hey some time. i will put some new pictures on here next week. chasrace
can any one tell me where i can get a carbonfiber brat hood???
Mykeys Toy
As far as I know there aren't any places that sell aftermarket body panels like that. I think if you can find a place that does custom fiberglass work they can do it. Or you might try contacting a company that sells body kits for a one off just for you.. Though I cannot imagine that being anywheree reasonably priced. It would be a little O.T. here in this thread but a Car stereo shop that has a hand in competitions may be able to do what you want also.. Again not going to be reasonable on the wallet. baccaruda
welded in the chambers in the heads this allowed you to bore it out more, yes? because im dumping so much fuel into it that helps keep it cool. i run no radiator, just coolant in the block. that's pretty shrewd. do you just have a tube going from the thermostat to the water pump side? do you even run a thermostat? as far as the carbon fiber hood goes, you are in uncharted territory there. Have you considered fabricating a tube frame for the front and having a clamshell front end made? That would save you even more weight...
