fiddler
So I did a stupid thing. First I had four flat tires in one week (It's a long story) so I put on a tire that I had from a parts car on my 1990 Legacy L wagon. Three days later I relized that it was a 185/70/r14 and the other three were 185/75/r14's. So I go to the tire place and have them patch the tires that I had trouble with in the first place, then I find out that they for what ever reason couldn't patch the nail holes that I had in them so they said that they put on two tires that were the sam e as what I had on there before. But no they put on two 195/70/r14's on the back, so I now have a 5% diference between the front trans axel and the rear dif. Well now my car howls like a mad thing and I have switched all the tires to the right size now... Any input or am I screwed?

Do you experience a jerking/catching feeling when doing tight figure eights in a parking lot?
fiddler
Ya it prety much does that all the time now I don't have to turn for it to feel like that. From what I understand there is a cutch inside the transfer case that I probably destroyed and is now metal on metal. Is that true?
Legacy777
Yeah, you've probably damaged the viscous coupling on the center diff. Whether you have metal chunks floating around is unknown. Get four IDENTICAL size and make tires on that car.
fiddler
I think that my rear dif. is also shot. I was showing a freind of mine what was up and it was howling prety bad too. I am moving soon to wisconsin and don't have time to work on it, so I think I'll get what I paid out of it (400) and try to find something else for now. Thanks for the input... NoahDL88
You might get the tire place DP i'm assuming? to replace your trans, as it was their negligence that ruined your transmission. I'll be in BR until about noon tomorrow, tuesday, if you want me to come over and take a look at it.
