Chiefzon Posted December 20, 2005 Share Posted December 20, 2005 My heat/cooling console is clicking and draining small amounts of power from my engine when its engaged. i think it may not be grounded or just a bad heater unit. Chiefzon Posted December 20, 2005 Author Share Posted December 20, 2005 Yeah, its the same 90 legacy. It may be the a/c engaging but it happens when its on every setting and temp. Could it be a bad climate control console? It still works fine, its just really annoying, but at least the heat works again. It doesn't sound good for the engine either. After testing it on my way home I've discovered it is just on the Def/A/c settings. How do I stop/improve the engaging of the A/C compressor? Legacy777 Posted December 25, 2005 Share Posted December 25, 2005 Does the clicking noise come from the engine compartment? Have you opened the hood with the AC running? If the compressor is making noise, there's really not much you can do. You could pull the wire at the compressor, and that will disable it though if you just don't want to deal with it.
