blatant
What oil do you all run? Not brands but viscosity and why? I'm in AZ right now and tend to run 10w-30 given who hot it is and how cold it never gets? I'll change it prior to the long drive, should i do the cross country on 1030 and then go to 530 or just put 530 in for the cc part. 2800 miles at approximately 80mph? any thoughts thx
tunered
if you have under 100,000 on the car i would run the 10-30 cc,and then go to 5w30,i live in eastern ohio and maybe it will get below 0,north of here it gets 10-15 below sometimes.the 5w30 will insure starting in that cold. if you have over 100,000 i would run 10w40 cc,jmho. ed
hklaine
I have 140k on mine, 5w30 all year round. Of course I resealed my engine last year and I don't burn much oil. These might affect your oil choice. Just my $0.02. -Heikki
Ranger83
Where in New England? It's only gone below zero in Boston once in the last few years, but my relatives in VT get down to -25 F pretty regularly. That said, in my old OBW's we used Castrol High Mileage 5-30 in winter and 10-40 in Summer.
