Frank B
Can the ring gear, or the whole differential assembly in the Sube trannies, and rear diff housings be flipped around to give you reverse rotation of the tires? I know it's done in VW trannies.
WJM
I dont think so. I know for a fact the rear diff cannot be swapped into the front. It is possible to have custom machined a reverse set of ring/pinion....
Subadoom
I had thought of that so i took apart a 5 speed D/R. There is no way to flip the diff in the tranny that i could see. If some one dose I would like to know how.
NoahDL88
What you might be able to do is to get the gear reduction hubs off of a Syncro, that would reverse the spin on the hub, so you wouldn't have to reverse the tranny output. it would definately be a custom one off application, but it might be worth looking into. Frank B
Coll, thanks. I was following this thread, http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=49123 And thought it would be cool to have more gears in reverse!
