rweddy
I like the Silverstars so much in the BMW that I installed them yesterday in the Legacy. HUGE improvement. I drive a twisty mountain canyon full of deer and elk in the dark every morning, and even if they only last 6 months, they are worth every penny to me 'cause I CAN SEE! They are on sale now at auto zone, Silverstars that is.

Chef
I'm going to give those Xtra-vision bulbs a whirl, seems to be a good response on them and they're only about 1.5X more expensive than regular lights. Given I drive on twisty highways at night, it is a bit of reassurance.
99obw
So the passenger side low beam in the silverstars burnt out yesterday, not even three months of life with modest use. I won't be buying them again. I already purchased a set of xtravisions but I haven't installed them yet. Hopefully they'll be an improvement over OEM. Wayne Boncyk
Xtravisions are good, brighter than OEM but they last a reasonable time. I've been using them in my OBW for a while now.
dlc
Silverstars are junk. Yeah, they're bright but who wants to replace them and spend $40 every 2 or 3 months. I used to run them in my Accord but they only lasted 6 months or so. My Outback low beams are kinda weak so I tried them in it even knowing they wouldn't last long because of the daytime running lights. They lasted 2 months. I now have a HID Xenon setup (the real thing, not just blue bulbs). Worth every penny I paid.
Paha Poika
i put new Sylvania sliverstar headlight bulbs in my 95 subaru legacy awd 5speed and mann what a differnce they make, they are well worth the money to spend on bulbthink your headlights are white i put one in the driverside then turned on the head lights i could tell how much brighter and whiter they are even driving on the raod they make a hole lot differnce. i would recomend them for your subaru Better carry spares. they work great but I found they don't last very long. Chef
I put the x-tra visions in mine about 2 months ago, definitely brighter, although not extraordinarily.
