Mike W
Hi folks. Hey I heard somewhere that those rubber cargo trays found in Outbacks will also fit into the older '90-'94 Legacy wagons. Is that correct and if so, which years of Outbacks had trays that would fit my 94? Thanks!
lmdew
Are you talking about the tool tray on top of the spare? If so, I have one from a 93 Legacy Wagon that will fit $10+shipping. Larry Lmdew@hotmail.com
Mike W
Nope, I'm refering to the molder hard rubber type of cargo tray common to newer the newer cars. They're good for containing messes like spilled milk, spilled dog, and that sort of thing.
Greg S
The tray(carpet protector) is more of a hard vinyl than a rubber. They are a good idea but stuff slides around on them too easily, IMHO.
Mike W
Ok vinyl, rubber, whatever. The sliding around problem I can cure easy enough with some rubber backed carpet. I guess if nobody has an answer I'll just have to go to Aaron's Auto Wrecking and see for myself if the early Outback trays fit the '90-'94s. nickb21
Let's see mine measures about: 42in. from front to back 22in, down from the front, is where it fans out top part is 41in. accross bottom part is 52in. accross Comes in pretty hand, don't have to worry about spills. But things do slide around a bit! --Nick
Qman
Mike, and everyone else, yes, they fit. Not to a tee but they fit good enough to not have a problem with it. Mine got "treated" and is quite slippery. I installed a cargo net also to keep the little things from flying around. Check it out next time you're down Mike.
