markjs
It loses near on 1/2 quart daily! It seems to come from the valve covers. Are these changeable without touching the timing belt covers? Is this a potentialleak that large?

Is this a potentialleak that large? Valve cover gaskets can be changed without removing timing belt covers. If you're losing that much from there it should show up on the driveway in the morning when you've parked it overnight.
wesley willis
I did the VCG's on my ea81 in a half an hour. Still leaks from the pan though, but not much. They leaked real good, in an hour of being parked on level ground there were 2 spots of oil the size of oreos underneath them. Does it leak anywhere else? Check the pan, oil pump, crank, cam sprockets, everywhere on the front for leaks.
