EA82Loyale
Ok guys...i went up to yelm today and i found this gravel road. It was nice and strait so i went bombing down at like 50 with my loyale and when i got to the end i saw a house...i didn't want to disturb them so i stopped and began to turn around by pulling front first into an entrance to a field...i turned the wheel left and began to back out and all of a sudden the whole right front of the car sank... I'am thinking great i'am stuck...i just angried the nieghbors with my strait piped exhaust, and now i'am stuck in a hole. If i make them mad enough they will call the popo and iam not going anywhere. And yes..they were outside there house watching me... So i get out...the hole is 3 feet deep and about a 1 and 1/2' in diameter...it was covered in grass so i couldn't see it when i pulled in. My tire was inside with my lower arm sitting on the ground...all i had was one measly wheel on wet grass to get me out. (my subaru is front wheel drive).... So i got in and slowly pressed the accelerator..it began to dig...and throw mud everywhere...i did this rocking motion for sometime, then i got pissed... I slammed the gas, and i can't believe it...it backed right out like it was 4 wheel drive.... Just as i got out i see a subaru coming down the road and so i figured i would talk to him. the guys stops and i tell him what happened. Turns out hes the guy living at the end of the road....bad idea to talk to him....he wasn't into subarus, and he wasn't happy to see me down there..all though i didn't feel bad becuase there wasn't any signs to keep me from going down. Otherwise i wouldn't have....iam not into trespassing... Anyway, he did give me directions on where i was going at least so i was happy with that much....anyway...just a story to show you that front wheel drive subys aren't to bad either. I was very happy to see my car make it out of such a big hole; and with no damage... Bill
[HTi]Johnson
Front wheel drives do have their perks. My first Subaru..FWD. Oh yeah, this was taken with a disposable camera...talk about luck.
wesley willis
my FWD seems to work well for some things, like snow. still, it ain't no 4x4.
SakoTGrimes
How nice of those [roosters] to help you out. It might have been that the sudden throttle caused the rear of the car to lift and give the front tire traction. Pretty cool for a 1WD either way
