ericem Posted January 22, 2006 Author Share Posted January 22, 2006 No, its connected but im trying to figure out if maybe the connections are messed so my drive solenoid isnt working. Because i tryed to test the OHMS and nothing showed up, i grounded it and checked all the pins but nothing. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Tiny Clark Posted January 22, 2006 Share Posted January 22, 2006 Wish I could help, but with no schematic or working knowledge of the system, I don't have much input. It's possible the tranny has to be hooked up for the computer to send out the signals to energize the solenoids. As far as ohming anything out, you could check across the solenoid windings in the tranny. They would probably all read a couple hundred ohms. But can it work without the TCU connected? What is the problem or issue that you have, and what is the model, year, mileage and engine on the car. If it is a computer controled tranny, the computer controls all the shift points. When you drive the car manually, that over rides the computer and your selection takes precident.
