Tin Soldier
So has anyone hooked up a DR tranny into a push button car and hooked up the 4wd light? Call me picky, but I would like the dash lights to work and just wondered if it's been done.
TROGDOR!
The car's a 94 Loyale, so info on disabling the clutch switch would be good too.
NoahDL88
The 4wd light should be easy, but you won't have the "LO" light unless you swap dashes, and then that becomes rather trying if you want to get all things working again.
suberdave
i say just look down at the lever and you will know if its in 4 or low or not -=Suberdave=-
WoodsWagon
It's really easy to swap half the wiring on the tranny over. The pushbutton wireing should plug into the switches on the dual range tranny, except for the neutral switch if the d/r came out of a carb car. Only the 4wd will light up, the switch for the lo range is right at the 4wd lever and there is no hookups.
P K
Almost Hijacking post.... So can one swap dashes out between a DL and GL? Is all the wiring behind the dash standard and there are unused connectors waiting to be used? thanks, r/ PK

fangster
Hmm, personally I found it an nightmare. I have put in a Tacho dash with oil pressure and volts into my DL. It took quite a while - the plugs were different.. the wire colours were different. Mine is an Australian car- maybe there is a difference with US models. There are 4 connectors on mine - all wired up differently to the DL. Almost Hijacking post.... So can one swap dashes out between a DL and GL? NoahDL88
Let me be more accurate, i swapped the entire dash, not just the insturment cluster.
