Lazer
When installing an intercooler i noticed this hose leading from the thermostat to the air intake duct (Hose number 7.) What is the intention of this hose?? Can i just block it off?
subiemech85
that is the idle bypass line you may want to incorporate a fitting for the line it takes filtered air from above the throttle plate to below the throttle plate
Lazer
Thanks that explains the rough idle when I blocked it.
calebz
Should only idle rough when cold.. after it warms up, the AAV doesn't do anything. Mine is currently blocked off.. When I had the RX7 IC in there, there was a fitting on the IC just the right size, so I kept it hooked up. not a noticeable difference either way. subyrally
that is also the idle air control valve if im not mistaken.

IIRC, the IACV is a solenoid and screw on the back side with a white power wire and a black ground wire it's good to remove the screws and clean off the carbon
