dave valiant
Well I finally got off my but and started transfering everything off of my old engine on to my CCR engine. Everything was going fine until I moved the pcv hose and it cracked in half. All of the intake hoses are like this, they are crumbling in my hands. My question is, can I use heater hose of a similar diameter to replace these until I find the proper replacements. I really want to be able to drive this thing when I get the engine in tomorrow. Any help would be appreciated. Dave
Ross
Yeah, heater hose will be fine - although you may be able to buy low pressure hose much cheaper that will do the job.
Snowman
Only temporarily though, as oil will cause it to swell and break down over time.
Ross
Hmm, the oil return on my turbo is a bit of heater hose, seems to be fine, but maybe ill change it before it goes back in if thats the case...
dave valiant
Thanks guys. That is the plan then, till I get the Loyale setup. I want to get rid of the smokescreen
tizzle
Do yourself a favor, and replace as many of the pcv/oil/cooling hoses as possible, now, while you're in there. seriously

Subarian
Use hose marked fuel/pcv. It will last much longer.
