Who changed his radio in a EA82?

Recommended Posts

I was installing a new deck in my beater and the stupid thing is not deep enough to accept the Denon H/U I wanted to put in. So I'd like to know who changed theirs radios in a EA82 (I have a '92 Loyale) and what they put in so I can get an idea with will fit. But still I'm pretty sad... I wanted to know if this 2x18bits CDA CD player would sound better than my previou sCD45z Nak. Well... I'll have to wait to listen to it I guess...

I like the adaptor that I got from Crutchfield because it tapers in on

the sides. Not as obtrusive looking as the Metro kit that most people use.

There should be a radio somewhere that is not too deep to get in there...

Why do you think the stock radio is shallow and double-stacked?

Because a normal stereo would never fit.

That Crutchfield unit will also accept a normal type stereo, I believe the section for the knobs is removable. I had one of those once as well, looked pretty slick.

The Metra one isn't so bad either, it's what I have now. Most people don't even realize it isn't factory. There is no perfect way to do this- either use an adapter, let the radio hang out an inch, remove your heater, or mount it somewhere else- that's it.
