February 4, 200620 yr found it in the jy under the hood of a 04/81 ea81 wagon, 5spd it has a line going from the oil FILL cap to a round canister about the size of a small coffee can on the right side of the x-member with another line going somewhere what is it, and what does it do? definately aftermarket the windchill was about 20*f so I didn't look much.

February 6, 200620 yr Author turns out it is a "single roll" frantz oil cleaner sure is hard to cut ss braided core hydraulic line with wire cutters
