Green96GT
My wagon has hit 10 yrs, and just over 100K miles. The suspension seems a bit 'clunky' now on the road. What's the expected lifespan of the OEM struts/springs? Will I notice any improvement if I replace them? What would ya'll recommend for replacements? TIA! stevecd
i believe you can test them by pushing down the each corner and seeing if they are "mushy", i would think it would be best to replace it once the axle goes out which is maybe 100k if your lucky and I'm sure you will notice a different and speed bump performance and alike but it isn't cheap. ~Stevecd
jmmctighe
Traded in my 95 LS wagon three weeks ago, 175K with original springs and struts. Remarkable considering the moon craters we call roads around Boston. -- John
cookie
Springs can last a couple of sets of struts if they don't work hard or get rusty. At 100,000 your struts should be tired even if it runs on smooth roads.
