Bussaca
Ok.. i remember (like 1999) back in the day someone going over the steps to change out the turbo from an 2.2t into an RX.. Well i got back from the junkyard..and 2.2t turbo in hand with what i vaugely remembered.. so i removed my 1.8t Turbo..to find..they are pretty close..but no where near to fitting.. So at this point.. it looks like i'm going to need a 2.2t Down pipe and up-pipe..??? or would it be easier to have a shop make new flanges and weld em to the old pipes? Any info..much apreciated. suberdave
might have better luck in the retrofitting forum. but here here is some pics from my swap. EJ20G into 1.8T. http://www.suberdave.com/subaru/glwrxt/ you will need lots more then just the engine. like the whole wiring harniss. -=Suberdave=- www.suberdave.com
Bussaca
Thanks SUperDave.. but i'm not talking all that.. (i'm doing the same swap you did but putting it into my 91 Legacy SS) I'm just transplanting the Turbo from a 2.2t to my 1.8t.. all the oil lines and colling lines fit.. it's just the up-pipe and down pipe are WAY off. carfreak85
The up pipe flange should be a match and the down pipe flange from a WRX should work. If I'm wrong someone please correct me!
