[HTi]Johnson Posted March 15, 2006 Share Posted March 15, 2006 Hello my friend swapped his carter-weber for a Hitachi. Now in 3rd and 4th gears it will start stumbling around 2k RPM. He's timed it and checked for vacuum leaks over a dozen times.(8*btdc with disty vac advance disconnected). I'm thinking maybe the distributor needs to be swapped too? This was a 1982 Brat with the Carter and we put a Hitachi, from a 1983 GL Wagon, on. Any ideas on what's wrong? He replaced the fuel filters in November.
