Uberoo Posted March 16, 2006 Share Posted March 16, 2006 im tring to remove the shifter slop after an hour of cussing and dremiling the pin so it would go out.it finally came out. However the shifter coupling will not come free.I know its loose because it wiggles just I cant get it to budge from the shft. so How in world does it come off? NoahDL88 Posted March 16, 2006 Share Posted March 16, 2006 If you have a pin, i'm assuming you have a DL, and the pin is pretty easy to get out if you have a hammer and a punch, but what are you speaking of " shifter coupling"? the part at the bottom, if thats what you mean, is not supposed to come undone, unless you pull a snap ring, and if you get it apart without taking out the snap ring, it won't be going back together any time soon.
