It's there to keep the torque converter aligned with the crank. That means the shaft on my torque convertor is broken off in the crankshaft. I think thats why when I put the manual tranny in, it seemed like the clutch would not disengage. Got any ideas on how to get the broken piece out of the crankshaft? It took me and a friend like 2 hours to get that peice out. Thats another peice i'm keeping. Thanks for all the info. Just go to get the engine back in.
