laush
Just got back from local NAPA they list a filter for EA4T trans. spin on for around $14.00 sure beats the stealership price of $38.00. The listing for me covered 2003 and up Outback but I can only assume they are all the same it is a NAPA gold filter looks like good quality. Tommorow I am going to drop the fluid in the pan, replace it, drive then drop again and change the filter.
shortlid
WOW, sounds like the find I have been looking for!! I would like to replace the spin on tranny filter on my Mom's '03 GT soon. If it is quality and fits it is about a 1/3 of the stealership price for this NON-maintinace iteam!! Do you have a NAPA part # by chance??
shortlid
Just called my local NAPA he lists it also says it's part # 18128 but he wants $25 for it!! That is only $10 short of the stealership price?? I will have to call the NAPA two towns over, see what they want for it.
OB99W
The Subaru 38325AA032 typically sells for about $26 through online dealers. Yes, there's the cost of shipping added, but (especially if you're ordering other parts at the same time) it might be worthwhile anyway.
friendly_jacek
There was a discussion in the past that some parts stores cross-referenced some engine oil filters to subary tranny filter by mistake. They may screw in but are not the same part.
Scoobyblue
There was a discussion in the past that some parts stores cross-referenced some engine oil filters to subary tranny filter by mistake. They may screw in but are not the same part. That part number is an ATP (automatic transmission parts) number, not a NAPA (Wix) oil filter number. $19.49 on NAPA's website.
