Sweet82
This weekend I was hooking up the trailer to the Forester to go out riding and as soon as I get out on the road, I find I have no clock and worst of all, I have no Stereo power? I checked under the dash, thinking I blew a fuse, nope! Switched fuses around, just in case I had a bad fuse, still no power. I unpluged the trailer lights, even though they say they are on a different fuse, still no power. I was in a Jam, NO TUNES! ...and I had done everything I could do while driving, my only other option was to pull over and I didn't want to do that! So... anyone want to take a stab at how to fix this one? I finally figured it out the next day but I thought posting this may help someone else save some time. Sweet82
As usual Ferret nailed it! Even though the fuses under the dash were as the should have been, there is a second set of fuses under the hood for the clock / stereo and other vital organs. So if you blow the clock radio fuse be sure and check both fuse banks. I hoped to make enough key words that someone else could do a search and find the answer to this in the future. I had a helper in the car to assist in the in-flight inspection & repair effort. No safety violations occured while I was driving.
