cd45 Posted March 29, 2006 Share Posted March 29, 2006 I got the Soobie done on Sunday. Changed the front and rear main seals, the cam shaft seals, the pan gasket, and the valve cover gaskets. Put the engine back in, hooked everything up, and it started right up. Milage fell through the floor, and it backfired between every shift. I checked the timing, and it was off, the passanger side was aff 2 teeth, and the driver side was off 1 tooth. I fixed that and it seems to have fixed it. I will watch the milage to make sure. Not as hard as you think - I've done timing belts and what not on stuff as new as 2004 - Audi's mostly, but some toyota's and Nissan's, etc. It's really about the same - in some ways easier..
